I believe you posted the key here..

“EVs made research on the batteries to move forward faster.”

That is why I stated it would have been better if the EV had been pursued
for the last 100 years. Batteries would have progressed so much more by now.

I’m not advocating EVs as the Left does by saying that. It’s just that the tech
would have benefited.

Highly doubtful.

While there have been improvements in the range of EV batteries in the last 20 years or so, the makers have been promising range of better than 300 miles for most of those 20 years. Hasn't happened. They've met with a wall. The range anxiety remains and that range is under the best of weather conditions, meaning that it can't be too hot or too cold. In essence, EV batteries are DEAD and they won't be making a comeback since the technology won't be improved in the next 10-30 years, no matter what the makers and sellers promise.
