Drone technology is terrifying to lumbering, muscle bound, old technology superpowers. The Uke war has been an incredibly successful proving ground for both sides. I’m very much surprised that Iran has not better armed Hamas and Hezbollah with drone capabilities.
I liken it to the rapid evolution of aircraft 1914 vs 1918, from flimsy monoplane kits piloted by a guy holding a revolver to comparatively rugged warbirds like the Spad.
So far the U.S. is the only nation that has the comparative advantage of operational Dr. 1s vs the monoplanes being retrofitted with lewis guns that the rest of the world has.

That said, the Houthis appear to be armed in some depth. That’s not surprising given that the Saudis + UAE couldn’t knock them out, and Iran has had a lot more money to play with recently...
