‘Worst Possible Tack’: Jonathan Turley Lays Out How Fani Willis May Have Just Shot Herself In The Foot
Daily Caller News Foundation ^ | January 22, 2024 | Harold Hutchison

Posted on 01/28/2024 5:11:51 AM PST by george76

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley said Monday that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis chose “the worst possible tack” when responding to a subpoena in her alleged lover’s divorce case.

Willis sought to have the subpoena declared invalid in a Thursday court filing, claiming that Jocelyn Wade, the estranged wife of Nathan Wade, Willis’ alleged lover, was trying to “harass and embarrass” the Fulton County DA. Turley said that Willis and Nathan Wade were “undermining” their case.

...

The damage is already done for Willis, and in many ways she’s really magnifying that damage with her moves,” Turley told “America Reports” co-host John Roberts. “She filed a motion before the court that attacked the estranged wife of her alleged lover as an adulterer and political conspirator. It was the worst possible tack that she could have taken.”

...

“She could have just said ‘I’m not relevant,’ she could have said a deposition is not needed, and instead she did this full on attack and that only raises further questions,” Turley continued. “I mean, you have the original decision that she made, which in my view is deeply unethical, in hiring someone she had an alleged intimate relationship with. But she compounded that afterwards in her response. It’s clear that Mr. Wade and Willis, herself, are undermining the case for her office.”

A judge in Cobb County, Georgia, ruled Monday that documents in Nathan Wade’s divorce case could be unsealed. Attorneys for Michael Roman, a former Trump campaign aide, filed a motion Jan. 8 alleging that Willis, whose office paid Wade over $600,000 to help prosecute the former president, was in a romantic relationship with West.

Nathan Wade reportedly earned $250 an hour while working on the case against Trump, compared to $200 for John Floyd, a RICO expert, according to billing records obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. Other documents obtained by the DCNF show that Floyd was initially paid $150 an hour.

“She went to this conspiratorial argument and called anyone raising these questions racist,” Turley said. “There are experts on both the left and the right who have said that she and Wade should recuse themselves, and in many ways it’s ironic. She accused Trump of not listening to the legal experts about the law and the election. She’s doing the same thing.”

Willis denied wrongdoing in a Jan. 14 address at Big Bethel AME Church, accusing her critics of “playing the race card” while falsely claiming she paid the outside prosecutors the same rate.

Willis secured an indictment against Trump and other defendants in August over the former president’s alleged efforts to contest the results of the 2020 election in Georgia, which Joe Biden won by less than 12,000 votes.

First rule of Marxist victimhood: It’s always someone else’s fault (preferably someone white...but a Jew will do in a pinch).

Georgia Representative Charlice Byrd (R-Woodstock—from Cherokee County) plans
to introduce H.R. 872, seeking to impeach Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

Byrd is alleging she misused her office for political gains
rather than for the pursuit of justice as the office was intended.

Byrd is particularly critical of Willis for indicting Republicans for simply
exercising their First Amendment rights to question election results.

Questioning election results is a practice Democrats have frequently engaged in after losing significant races including those of Democrats Al Gore, Hillary Clinton, and the infamous Stacey Abrams race.

None of the Democrat candidates and none of their Democrat supporters who questioned election results were ever legally cited nor were they charged w/ any crimes related to questioning election results.

What exposes Willis’ true motives-—which she didnt share with church members or taxpayers-—is that Willis hired a PR type firm for $10,000 to monitor her media coverage just days before announcing the probe into former President Donald Trump (according to invoices and emails obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation).

<><>Willis announced in a letter sent to four state officials, including Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, on Feb. 11, 2021 that she had opened a criminal probe into Trump over his alleged attempts to influence the outcome of the 2020 presidential election. This move also might earn her tangible rewards since it endeared her to Joe Biden.

<><>However, just days earlier, her office contracted with Critical Mention, a New York-based media monitoring service designed for tracking mentions and metrics such as the publicity value that would showcase her burgeoning political potential to a person like Joe Biden.

Atlanta-based criminal defense attorney and legal analyst Philip Holloway told the DCNF that prosecutors are required “to be objective and to wield their great power without bias and certainly not to use the criminal justice system as a ladder to political success.”

The documents show Willis’ deep interest in tracking media coverage of herself, and her office, as she launched an investigation into the former president, knowing full well, that in charging Trump, she had struck political gold.

The first invoice charging $10,000 for the annual contract is dated Feb. 8, 2021. Emails show DA Willis was in discussion with the company as early as Feb. 1.

“We are getting more coverage via your name than by title,” said what appears to be a Fulton County employee in a Feb. 2021 email, referencing Willis. “This graph has the coverage value for the last week at over $150 million.”

“I ran a report for mentions of ‘Fulton County District Attorney’ worldwide for the last seven days. Critical Mention (the PR monitoring platform I told you guys about that we contract for last week) gives a ‘publicity value’ to the coverage, which is meant to reflect what it would cost to buy paid advertising equivalent to the penetration of the media coverage,” the email continues.

“While it can be a bit exaggerated, it says in the last week we’ve gotten media coverage equivalent to $67 million in advertising. Even half of that value would be staggering.”

Media monitor ‘Critical Mention’s’ website pitches its service to “PR, Communications and marketing agencies” who use the platform to “to help clients track earned media coverage in real-time, analyze campaigns and grow their brands......

.......and, in Willis’ case, as a way to advance and gauge her political bona fides to Joe Biden...

This has been both hilarious and incredibly entertaining to watch. Everybody knows the Democrat political machine in Atlanta is massively corrupt. That’s been the case for a long long time. Everybody knows a lot of these hard left Soros-backed DA’s are nothing but tools and quite a lot of them are personally quite stupid

BUT STILL

You watch this stuff happen and think “no way....this is like a really really bad Lifetime channel potboiler....she can’t ACTUALLY be THIS stupid and THIS corrupt”.....but yep! Sure enough. She is. LOL!

Its so open and obvious even the usual Democrat propaganda outlets like the corporate media and Big Tech haven’t bothered denying it.

- takes instructions directly from Democrat Party HQ in DC

- hires her grossly unqualified boyfriend and pays him an exorbitant fee violating the rules of professional ethics for lawyers

- he idiotically LISTS multiple appointments with White House counsel in his billing statements

- They go gallivanting around together in the midst of his divorce

- He’s so stupid and greedy as to stiff his soon to be ex-wife even while getting paid $600,000 per year of taxpayer dollars by Big Fani...who directly violated Georgia laws in hiring somebody she has a personal relationship with....uhhh think she wouldn’t find anything out and wouldn’t absolutely crucify you in public dude? You gave her EVERY reason to do so. Shoulda paid her off generously in exchange for her silence.

- Then, caught absolutely red handed, Big Fani cries “Racism!” as soon as somebody points any of this out.....its so embarrassing even the usual race hustling poverty pimps haven’t come to her defense.

and this was supposed to be the Democrats’ best case against Trump. LOL!!!!

Wade was a private attorney working out of a basement
when DA Fani got the hots for the married Wade.

She hired him as a top prosecutor for the Trump case
even though Wade had no legal bgrnd in RICO cases.

She proceeded to pay Wade an enormous amt of tax dollars which
gave the two the ability to travel and cruise luxury destinations.

Wade’s law partner also got a $167,000 piece
of the action which means Wade got a percentage.

Willis is incompetent, a DEI hire, much like Kamala Harris who screwed her way into political success with Mayor Willie Brown of San Francisco. Even black folk culture calls it the "Sunshine Pu$$y" factor.

Willis has been sleeping her way into hierarchical promotion for many years, has two daughters and a husband she never speaks about, apparently a cuck who is resigned to he sharing herself for "professional" reasons.

The fact is that Willis is incompetent, needs to be removed form her position that she has used to violate the civil rights of President Trump under color of law. She has coordinated her efforts with the Biden white house, and she is a racist fascist of the 1st order, willing to violate her oath to support and defend the Constitution, an enemy of the entire Nation. So I ridicule Willis and all like her. Such public ridicule is the best weapon against such fascism,,,,,as proven by none other than Winston Churchill during his battle against fascism at home and in Europe. That battle, not known by many ,was waged against fascists like Ambassador Joseph Kennedy, and Lindberg as well as many others in his own country prior to and during WWII.

SO ridicule Willis and all of her like minded racist fascists.Laugh at their playing there race card as their incompetence catches up with their subversive conduct, subversive to our Constitution. There are just too many Dem women who can throw any f**k up against their political wall to sit and watch them stick, while we remain silent? Our ridicule has resulted in the MSM turning against Willis....time to fire for effect. WITH THE TRUTH

What a laugh.I gleefully spit on their shadows.

THE FANNY MOMENT~!

—— which in my view is deeply unethical——

Ethics have nothing to do with the matter. The whole matter is evidence of the Black corruption that controls Fulton County Georgia. Ethics have no place nor meaning within the tyrannical Black corruption of Fulton county

Fanny Willis is a Professional Negro. She is Black for a living.

Anti corruption = Racist to a professional Negro

If we actually a Justice System instead of a Legal System, both of these criminals would have been Indicted and Jailed and their Assets would have been SEIZED as fruits of a Criminal Enterprise already.

NOBODY IS ABOVE THE LAW

Honest Services fraud under Title 18 U.S. Code 1346 is a federal crime involving the misuse of an individual’s position or authority for personal gain or advantage.

It can be committed by public officials, corporate officers, and private individuals with fiduciary duties to another person or entity.

Since 18 U.S.C. 1346 was implemented, case law has clarified that honest services fraud must include some bribe or kickback to be considered a crime. (Skrilling v. United States, 2010) Thus, honest services fraud involves three entities:

Someone offering a bribe or kickback;
Someone accepting the bribe or kickback; and
A victim—someone deprived of the intangible right of honest services due to the bribe or kickback.

As an extension of the mail and wire fraud statutes, honest services fraud can be severely penalized upon conviction. The possible penalties are as follows:

For general instances of honest services fraud: Fines of up to $250,000 and up to 20 years in federal prison;
For instances of honest services fraud that involve a financial institution or which affect benefits being provided in a nationally declared disaster or emergency: Fines of up to $1 million and up to 30 years in federal prison.

The woman is obviously low IQ and was pushed along by the Biden White House. She is just trashy and stupid enough to be committing exactly what she charged Trump with.
