Calls for retaliation began pouring in from Republican members of Congress moments after U.S. Central Command revealed Sunday that three U.S. service members were killed Saturday night at an American base in Jordan in a drone attack launched by Iranian-backed militias.
“It is time to act with purpose and resolve in response to attacks that have tragically taken the lives of American service members and injured scores more,” Sen. Roger Wicker (R-Miss.)***
“We must respond to these repeated attacks by Iran and its proxies by striking directly against Iranian targets and its leadership. ... It is time to act swiftly and decisively for the whole world to see.”

I am calling on the Biden Administration to strike targets of significance inside Iran, not only as reprisal for the killing of our forces, but as deterrence against future aggression,” Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) made a similar call: "The only answer to these attacks must be devastating military retaliation against Iran’s terrorist forces, both in Iran and across the Middle East."

"America must send a crystal clear message across the globe that attacks on our troops will not be tolerated," Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson said. *** The tragedy, Majority Leader Steve Scalise posted, "was avoidable."
"For years now Biden has emboldened Iran — sending them billions & tolerating their aggression against our troops. America must show strength," the No. 2 House Republican said.

Apparently, we can’t get them out without the President and Congress scribbling out some “chicken scratch” on a piece of paper.
In other words: We get the out, the same way we got them in.
1) No money was given to Iran. Iranian money was returned to them rather than continue the theft.
2) US declares sanctions on Iranian oil, as if there was any authority to do that. Mostly this involved obstruction of payment for it, but no and then Iranian oil is seized on the high seas. Iran could have arranged non state actors to hit directly at US cities over this, and did not.
3) Trump tried to withdraw troops from Syria and Iraq, and Bolton obstructed this, placing himself between the Commander in Chief and the military. We have no national interest in having troops in Jordan, Syria or Iraq. If the populace there wants to embrace Iran, that is their right.

Trump had it right. Kill one of the Iranian Generals to send a message. Then they’ll get it.

Have a look at a map of Jordan. This is nowhere near Lebanon and the only clearly Iran supported group — Hezbollah.
Odds are at least 50/50 this attack group were Sunni, and Jordan does a huge Saudi border. Why has there been a leap to blame Iran? Why not the Saudis and their support for Sunni groups.
President Trump would respond to these attacks, and they would NOT be Biden’s little pinpricks that do nothing.
