I would guess that they have inherited money and have no need to work.
He was having problems emotionally, and my sister took him to a Counselor, just under a Psychiatrist. He was a faux girl. That was his mentor.
I went to her house on July 4th 9 years ago. They were talking about something out of my earshot. Someone asked me about an old show on Oprah. I replied, you mean the one with the Male Lesbians, then I laughed. I had hit the nail on the head without a clue. At the time he said he was attracted to girls. I told him that if you like girls, why bring a didlo on a date, when you can keep the real deal? From then on, I have been shuttled to the side. No more get togethers with that branch of the family.

I would be shocked if a parent with money let their child go off the rails like that. I am thinking they make money being a freak, like posing for photos. Although I don’t know how much money that is worth.
At some point, these sorts of things are going to end in bloodshed. It’s inevitable. You can’t take children away from parents and not expect all hell to break loose. Someday, they’re going to mess with the wrong dad.
Maybe it was the faux girl counselor who put him up to it.
Was there really such a thing as male lesbians? I have wondered how it is that Bruce Jenner became a woman yet is dating a trans woman.
