Washoe County Republican Party votes to kick out Commissioner Clara Andriola (NV)

The Washoe County Republican Party kicked out County Commissioner Clara Andriola on Monday night.

“Andriola has intentionally and willfully failed to uphold the Republicans and the Republican brand in her official capacity by predominantly voting with the Democrats on the Commission,” said a resolution voted on by the county Republican party’s central committee during a meeting at Boomtown casino.

Republican Gov. Joe Lombardo appointed Andriola to the commission in April, replacing Vaughn Hartung after he was appointed to lead the Nevada Transportation Authority.

Andriola told the RGJ on Tuesday that she’s baffled by the resolution.

“I don't understand why they're concentrating on me,” she said. “There's so much work that needs to be done as a party. Nobody from the party contacted me about this, not even to ask questions.”

The county party says it no long considers Andriola a Republican.

She faces a June election in the Republican primary. Because of the resolution, the Washoe County Republican Party will not help Andriola retain her seat with an endorsement or any resources such as volunteers going door to door in support of candidates.

Andriola's primary opponent is Tracey Hilton-Thomas, vice chair of the Washoe County Republican Party. Hilton-Thomas did not participate in the discussion or vote.

The should do the same with all of the current batch of Republicans here. Especially those that set up a caucus to compete with the primary.

It's the other way around:

Nevada has held a caucus for decades, but in 2021, the state passed a law replacing the caucus with a primary due to flaws in the reporting process for the 2020 Democratic caucus. This year, the state will hold both a Republican primary and a Republican caucus. Voters can participate in both, but not the candidates. The Nevada Republican Party has chosen to hold a party-run caucus on Thursday, Feb. 8, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Republicans can look up their precinct locations online, but the caucus itself is entirely in-person. A valid government ID is required to vote.0 The Nevada presidential preference primary is a closed election, meaning only voters who are registered with the Democratic or Republican party are allowed to vote. In 2023, the Nevada Republican Party approved a party-run caucus that excludes candidates who run in primary elections, but must still hold a presidential preference primary due to the 2021 Nevada law.

The primary is not what will be used at all for the Republican Party

Andriola sided with Democratic commissioners Alexis Hill and Mariluz Garcia to keep Hill, who has been chair since last spring, rather than pick Republican Jeanne Herman, who has been on the board longest.

and this

The resolution also says Andriola approved “the County Manager’s hiring of the left-wing consulting firm The Elections Group for a whopping $600K in a no-compete bid approval process.”

and this

The resolution said Andriola shouldn't have approved a public lands bill that U.S. Sen. Jacky Rosen, a Nevada Democrat, introduced.

“Republican Gov. Joe Lombardo appointed Andriola to the commission...”

Lombardo = RINO

Andriola = RINO

RINOs are Democrats.

It is BS argument. I guarantee you more primary votes than idiotic caucus. There is a reason only four states still have caucus and why Nevada was not to have them any further. After next month, hopefully it will be over forever. The Republican party picks losers, is run by losers, and needs more input from Republican voters not the few party fanatics that may or may not be aligned the actual voters.

Michigan turned into something very similar to Nevada. In fact, it’s newly elected chairwoman was taken out on January the 6th. It’s not that she was a rino but more that she did not do a single thing to help Republicans win. In fact, what she was doing was helping Democrats win. She was a big bag of wind that sounded great when she spoke to her echo chamber minion delegates that had never been involved with a party before. Most of them never even knocked a door but became delegates and were recruited after the loss of President Trump in 2020. A lot of these delegates were nefarious actors. The party itself has struggled and is now being led by former congressman Peter Hoekstra who was just endorsed by Donald Trump. The former chair is now telling the entire party and gaslighting them into believing that Trump is being misled and again she is trying to divide the party even though she was lawfully removed. Nevada is one of these crazy states where a very similar movement is taking place just as it was in Michigan. It is called the precinct first project. It is led in Michigan by a guy who was a registered Democrat in California in 2016. When he arrived in Michigan he was suddenly a Republican and was running a secretary of State campaign for a Republican and all of a sudden he is right in the thick of things recruiting delegates for the Republican Party and organizing County parties to insert the sycophant followers that will follow his strategy. The whole thing is gone to hell in a hand basket. Something that is very interesting is that the chair woman in Michigan was registered as the president earlier this year of an organization located in Nevada that was all about getting Democrats and Republicans elected. Not just Republicans, but Democrats as well. Absolutely totally insane. Turns out Michigan was taken over by an inside operation run by George Soros. You have to ask yourself, how much would the Democrat Party payout to individuals to win 15 electoral votes without having to spend any money if they had a way to implode the Republican Party across the state. Probably millions

According to you, but you do not get to be the arbitrator of the truth, and his statement was not the truth. POC support for Democrats is not 100%, and I have provided the proof destroying that statement. You just can't accept it, because you do not want to admit that your post was worthless garbage. But it's not the first time you made bad choices nor will it be the last time I suspect. But then again, we all do because we are human. Get over it.

Have a blessed day.

Sorry, I should have looked at what this argument was between us. We have so many. 🤣

I heard the Republican Party representatives stating that the caucus will carry the deciding weight in the decision.

So, take it up with them.

I’m not going to say anything negative about Joe Lombardo, yet. Someone might have said that she was good and he appointed her. Just like President Trump hired some bad people ..
