When I was in Junior High 45 years ago we had a student who I couldn’t figure out if it was a male or female. I asked the student one day. The student turned all red and stormed off. I found out later that day it was a male. Could have fouled me. I feel sorry for the students today that are required to use the proper pro nouns or get in trouble with the principal.
