I always thought The Economist was center/right.


I guess I have read them only on their bad days. I have never once read one of their articles that did not have either outright liberal propaganda or an undercurrent of socialism

They certainty do not know how the economy really works.

I just quit reading them at all because of that left slant to just about every article. I decided that a lot of people kept it on their desk to appear erudite.

Unfortunately, they know all too well how a 21st century economy works: Government spending, tax incentives, central bank policy, and heavy regulation. To them a “competitive market” (free of political considerations) is something that only hayseeds believe.

I don't remember The Economist being either "center" or "right." The title of the publication leads lazy thinkers to say "Economist" therefore capitalist and conservative.
