Wow…we got Roe overturned, concealed carry is constitutional, and the EPA case among others.

And some people continue to whine.

It is like having an open bar with top-shelf beer, wine, vodka, whiskey, and scotch, but complaining loudly that there is no schnapps.

Let us establish an empirical baseline. There is a metric called Martin-Quinn scores, that measures a Justice’s ideological leaning. Here is a time-series of the MQ scores with the median - note what could have happened if Garland replaced Scalia.

Here is the plot of the MQ Scores from last term:

True, we don’t have nine justices like Alito and Thomas. True, we have two centrists who pretend to be conservatives, and a milquetoast and “I just wanna get along” Chief Justice.

Of COURSE it can be better. That said, objectively, in 2024, SCOTUS is waaaaay better than in 2016. For the complainers, remember, you can’t always get what you want. Fight with what you got.

Indeed, getting Roe overturned has turned the left into nutters. They are also saddled with a terrible Presidential candidate.

If you REALLY were interested in winning, you would turn SCOTUS into a weapon of discouragement: tell every leftist who starts talking about fundamentally transforming America “how about Roe and gun rights.? You folks are in for a LOOOOONG time in the loser column, even if Bidet is “elected” again. Hahahahaha!!”

Sotmayor isn’t a jurist, she’s an activist, period.

Thomas and Alito are the only two conservatives.

The rest of the court went along with Trump initiating, in effect, martial law that compromised the majority of the Bill of Rights. Roe was done in a time and way to create a voter backlash—and it has worked.

Violating the Nuremberg Code became the de facto law of the land, and the cowardly, compromised SC sat on their collective hands.

A crumb here or there doesn’t offset that. Upwards of a million Americans have been done in by the jabs at this point, with more to come.

Sorry, Barrett’s vote to vacate the Texas injunction thereby allowing DHS to cut barbed wire at the border finished her in mind. That and the refusal to hear the Texas et. al. agains states engaged in vote fraud. She is no constitutional conservative but just a dizz-brain.

“A Martin-Quinn Production”

If you were around in the 70s you’ll get the reference.
