President Biden will not sit with CBS News for an interview before next Sunday’s Super Bowl, the network said.
The White House declined the network’s request for an interview with the president before the big game, which will air at 6:30 p.m. EST. The Super Bowl is expected to be watched by tens of millions of people around the world.
It will be the second consecutive year Biden has not sat for an interview with the network broadcasting the game, a practice that had become somewhat regular tradition in recent years.

But, Biden could s(h)it for an interview.
The interview time was probably too late in the day when he starts sundowning and needs his nap. This is most inaccessible POTUS ever. Odds are he screws up the congratulatory phone call too, or maybe they can prerecord that.
I don’t know what the political calculus is for this refusal especially in an election year but given how disastrous his recent forays have been perhaps they are getting gun shy putting him out there.
Smart move by his handlers- he might start rambling on about how excited he is to watch Joe Namath play.

Or maybe, he’d tell them to vote for Trump, like he did in the cafe the other day.
All that really matters is whether or not you’ve got the media on your side.

Good for him. The stupid media is acting like this is a conventional election like the ones we used to have 20 years ago. It is not. Biden does not need to reach out to voters. He has a lock on 100 million on them, and they have no alternative. Unless one thinks a Nazi is an alternative.
