Donald Trump said that South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem and Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) are on the short list to be his running mate in the 2024 general election.
He also dispelled rumors that he is considering Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as a vice presidential nominee and said his team never reached out to the independent candidates.
Speaking with Fox News Sunday host Maria Bartiromo, Trump said he won't announce who he plans to run with in the 2024 ticket for 'a while.'

Usually legislators make poor executives.

All Senators are BS artists, that’s the main job requirement. A governor of a small state does not have the executive experience to wrestle the Executive Branch to the ground.

There have been 3 sitting US Senators who have become President in the elected Senate era, two of whom never served in the military.
It’s a reasonable opinion that all 3 were failures, although a lot of people here admire #2 - who did not take control of the Executive Branch and got his brains blown out when he tried.
The main qualification to be elected to the US Senate is being a BS artist. This is a negative qualification for the Presidency.
If Trump himself was helpless in implementing MAGA, how is a small state governor who was previously a congresswoman going to manage?

What are you talking about? Trump wasn’t fully helpless. He got 400 miles of Wall built and created an illustrious booming economy despite being attacked by the uniparty.

Something is off about him. With Noem, I Iike her but I’m not sure someone from a state with 3 electoral votes is the way to go.
Might be more to consider overall likelihood of attracting more votes nationally, of fence sitters, regardless of how much ev’s are given by the origination state.
