Well maybe we do but I’ll bet we could recruit some who are literate, skilled, not hostile to our values, not coming to form a military fifth column, and not disease-ridden. I know this is a bit high level thinking for our rulers

There are currently 100 million U.S. citizens of working age who are not working. Some are stay ar home spouses, some are in the official unemployment numbers, some are in prison, some are disabled. However there are tens of millions of able bodied Americans not considered to be unemployed and not in the work force because they are not looking for work. Thanks to generous welfare benefits.

Tighten up welfare requirements and suddenly millions of non working people on the dole will flock to the workplace. End the tax bias against social security recipients earning outside income and suddenly many retired seniors will seek jobs to supplement their retirement income.
