A San Diego law would force landlords to allow their tenants operate childcare facilities in their units.

Not only that, but landlords have to notify tenants of their right to do so. This law brings with it a lot of liability for landlords if a child is hurt.

Such a law needs to decide to what degree will property owners be held liable if one of these so called Day Care Centers does something stupid and or dangerous?

That’s just the point. It’s a sneaky way by Democrats to open LLs up to total liability thus putting them out of business, which was the plan all along.

No law will protect landlords if a child is dead or injured…Mama’x junkyard lawyers will go after the deep pockets. The landlord and his insurance…which will be out the roof.

I seem to remember a while back the libs passed a law that forbade landlords from asking about a prospective tenant's conviction history.

Okay. I get that if someone did time and they're out trying to rebuild their lives they shouldn't be denied housing because of that.

On the other hand, what if the person is a pedo? Rapist? Muderder? And you rent him a property and he commits those crimes again. Will the landlord be held responsible if he commits those crimes on the property because the landlord "should have known?"

If private ownership is just too expensive because of insurance, taxes, and hence rents/ownership skyrocketing, I guess the government will be required to own all housing, eh. Well, except for the elites...

imo . . . . the plan is to do away with the nuclear family.

The ONE thing the enemy MUST get rid of is Jesus and Jesus is MOST effective against Satanic assault is through a born again family.

God's very first institution was/is marriage between a man and a woman for the express purpose of multiplying and tending to His Earthly creation . . . it was, in the beginning .. GOOD;

except for Man, to God, THAT one was VERY good.

After The Fall, Adam and Eve went out to live in a still pretty wonderful world albeit cursed by sin, and the marriage and family needed rules and regulations to live by, thus, the very first "government" was the benevolent dictator . . . . papa.

Now, I'm grossly simplifying here, but my desire is to spark thought.

THAT family politic HAD to expand into a social structure via the population increase and we became nations and governments.

Satan never gave up on his game to dethrone God and has devised many ways to achieve that goal, all of which includes the killing of man and his worship of God.

NOTHING political is "right" in California these days and so it is "natural" for the greatest/latest attack would occur right in your home . . . by extension, your bedroom.

Abortion by pre-emption, so to speak

The democrats relish every opportunity to eliminate private property without ever admitting it.

Little by little they are turning this country into the marxist hellhole they long for.

A smart lease has a clause allowing rental rate changes with changes in the law. Get the insurance and jack up everyone’s rent. Explain why.

Or does the state already require daycare providers to meet licensing, facility, and insurance requirements?

I owned a house in the Mira Mesa area of San Diego from 1983 to Feb 2001. The house next door (west) had multiple tenants over that time frame. The last one was from Mexico. She turned the house into a daycare facility that operated from 6 AM to 9 PM M-F. Her own ill-behaved offspring damaged two of my vehicles and she dodged responsibility for the damage. The trash cans filled with soiled diapers rapidly and being just east with a prevailing west wind blew the stench my direction often.

I had a significant investment in my home. Recently re-roofed with a top quality sintered stone on steel to protect against fire from flying embers from brush fires. I had intended to retire in that house. No way with that tenant next door. I sold and purchased a nicer house in Pocatello, ID. It was good to get away from the insanity of the CA population and the idiots they elect.

I purchased the place for $105k in August 1983. Sold for $245k in 2001. The house sold for $485k in Jan 2014 after some upgrades. Zillow estimates a current market value of $909k.
