The alleged leader of a white nationalist organisation displayed a picture of Adolf Hitler and Third Reich posters in his home, a court has heard.
Sam Melia is accused of running the far-right network Hundred-Handers from his home in Pudsey, Leeds, and faces two public order charges: stirring up racial hatred by publishing written material and intentionally encouraging or assisting the commission of an offence.
Leeds crown court heard the charges related to racist stickers Melia allegedly designed and produced between 2019 and 2021, which he posted in public places around his community and encouraged thousands of online followers to imitate. They bore slogans such as “Reject white guilt”, “Nationalism is nurture”, “We will be a minority in our homeland by 2066” and “Diversity – designed to fail, built to replace”.
Melia, 33, was described by the prosecutor, Tom Storey, as “media-savvy” in his running of Hundred-Handers, and “also careful to ensure that actions taken in support of what are ultimately racially offensive perspectives are somehow dressed up in a veneer of legitimacy”.
Police had found stickers on his computer, featuring “overtly racist” messages including “Mass immigration is white genocide”, “Second-generation? Third? Fourth? You have to go back”, “There is a war on whites” and “They seek conquest not asylum”, the jury was told.
Police had also found a book by Oswald Mosley on his bedside table and a poster of him in his living room, the court heard.
On Telegram, where Hundred-Handers had 3,500 followers, the court was told Melia used racist slurs about black, Asian and Jewish people.
On one occasion he had written about how he was going to “plaster” his home town of Pudsey with stickers the night before a Black Lives Matter march...
These were “all ultimately driven by a racist motivation”, the court heard.

And part of the charges relate to books he owned, and posters he displayed in the privacy of his home. The sort of "crimes" the NKVD went after.
He is guilty of wrongthink.
England is lost, so is most of Western Europe.
Maybe Eastern European people won’t commit suicide.
America and Canada are chasing the UK.
(Insert Rivers of Blood speech)
Would a British supporter of Hitler be a Nazed?
OK, the guy is sick, but the joy of free speech and expression is that sick people get to portray their sickness in their own property. There was a time when social shame would have been sufficient to keep such at bay, but shame (except for left-invented shame such as antiwhiteness) went out the window long ago.
Our daily reminder here in the US that our First Amendment is the first for a reason.
True hard core leftists do not just want to control what you do.
They are not even happy just controlling what you say or write.
They want to control what you think.
Even an anal sphincter has a right to his opinion. If it offends others, tough
A Hitler sticker is defensive of white people. Please elaborate for the forum. Moron.
Agree
Every post you prove your stupidity.
Yet we have hate speech laws.
I think DeSantis even recently signed one in Israel.
Nothing like signing hate speech laws in a foreign ethnostate.
LOL, I thought OMG! They found a White Supremacist!!!!!
Then I saw it was in England. Everyone is a White Supremacist there.
That’s correct.
The guy in this article could have been more circumspect. What would British law enforcement do if he posted, “King Edward VIII Was Right” stickers?
Read the article. Moron.
There was no Hitler sticker, except in your imagination.
The stickers he publicly posted all had defensive messages.
He did have posters of Hitler and Mosley in the privacy of his home. I never said the posters were defensive. Moron.
US man with picture or Trump in home arrested for hate crime….
No other countries have the First Amendment.
We Americans usually misunderstand. In most countries you CAN be locked up for what you say or publish.
You are mouthy for a newbie. I might have been wrong on this one. You’re antisemtic record proceds you.
That UK guy’s case is rather complicated. The UK does not have a 1A. But they do have a history of respecting free speech.
Point 1: It sure looks like this guy’s free speech rights are being violated. So what if he has Hitler stickers on his computer? If he is to be punished for that, it’s but a small step to punish any unpopular view.
Point 2: Ah, but the Hitler stickers. Anyone who does that deserves no consideration from a moral point of view. None at all.
So like I said, it’s complicated. Is it possible to completely separate points 1 and 2? In the old days, the ACLU did just that. They defended the right of Nazis to march in Skokie. But today?
The goverment is in the wrong. Free speech means the right to say or possess offensive things.
