The lawmaker—who has called for the EU to explore imposing a “travel ban” on Carlson—described Carlson as “a mouthpiece” of former President Donald Trump and Putin, adding: “As Putin is a war criminal and the EU sanctions all who assist him in that effort, it seems logical that the External Action Service examine his case as well.”

Didn’t Hearst interview Hitler?
Didn’t the NYT carry water for Lenin and never apologize for doing so?
Journalists want the story and the interview. More controversial the better.
Interesting a ‘free speech / 1st Amendment’ argument isn’t being made by the left in favor of Tucker. Oh wait, anyone on the right has no rights and is worthy of jailing. Got it.
To: janetjanet998
There is something called the First Amendment that will protect him from speaking to Putin just as much as it protected others going to meet with the leaders of North Korea, etc.

Sounds like more special rules because of an individual’s politics. Who was the last journalist punished for interviewing Putin?

Sure are a lot of folks scared of this interview getting out.
Thanks to Musk we will be able to see it on X. YT will run the disclaimer it is Fake News. LOL!
Never been a fan of Carlson, but I am a fan of a free , and open press. Very much looking forward to it.

I’m sure it wasn’t intended by Newsweak, but the article reveals more about the nature of the EU than it does about Tucker Carlson.

If our nation was at war with Russia, then Carlson could be in legal jeopardy.
But we are not at war with Russia.
Tucker wants America to get unfiltered news concerning Putins position for an end to the war with Ukraine. It may be that this is the beginning of Russia’s off ramp.
THe leftists in America and all across EUrope fear Tucker because he tells the truth as it is. Biden planned this stalemate between Russia and Ukraine by tricling necessary military ordnance to Ukraine. THe Poles have been trying
to give F-16s to Ukraine for 2 years now and still Biden prevents it.
Tucker is abo9utto expose the Biden family grift on Ukraine....and Pooty knows ALL of the details.

This is good news for Tucker Carlson.
Getting sanctioned by the EU is like getting sanctioned by NAMBLA.

Carlson's work in Russia could see the former Fox News host in hot water with the EU, Guy Verhofstadt, a former Belgian Prime Minister and current member of the European Parliament, told Newsweek.

“Sanctioned” by EU? If so, it’ll be with the slobbering enthusiastic approval and encouragement of the ruling elites in this country.
BTW, how’s Julian Assange doing these days?
