It appears the trans or intersex issue is a bit more complicated than I thought when I went to Google it.

“Intersex people are born with sex characteristics (such as sexual anatomy, reproductive organs, hormonal patterns and/or chromosomal patterns) that do not fit typical binary notions of male or female bodies. Experts estimate that up to 1.7 percent of the population are born with intersex traits.”

You are not going to know from examination of skeletal remains if a person was born intersex. Nor would that grave goods point to that.

With most intersex people there is no determined genetic abnormality. It is fetal development abnormality.
