LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Changing signs at Harry Reid International Airport is proving more expensive than planned, and the total price tag is now up to $7.68 million, documents show.
On Tuesday, Clark County commissioners approved $4.77 million to fund the most expensive part of the project. “Marquee – Landmark Signs” on Tropicana Avenue had an original budget of $1.95 million and now are estimated to cost an estimated $2.82 million more than planned.

Could it at least be called the Dingy Harry International Airport? I believe it was Rush who gave Reid the name “Dingy.”
Really, the guy was a ickhead and a shyster. I wouldn’t name a rest stop toilet after that creep.
Wow! $7.68 million from beyond the grave!
They mean McCarran.
What an amazing waste of money, at a time when the economy is in the dung heap.
Still refer to it as McCarran.
$7,00,000 to change some signs?
No wonder our society is doomed.

The guy who walked into Sotero’s office and got him to shut down Yucca Mountain after we spent 10 billion on it.
Lots of graff and lining of pockets going on to rename an airport after a thief and a crook. Only in Vegas.
“generic names like Las Vegas International Airport.”
AMEN to that! I hate, hate, hate naming anything after stinking politicians. They are the primary cause of the ruination of America. Why any of those low-down, conniving, crooked polecats should have anything (besides the city dump) named after them is beyond me.
I was appalled when San Jose renamed the airport after Mineta.
I'm sure they good people of Nevada would pay good money to get that name off their airport.
How about naming the airport for a more honest more consequential guy.
How does the BUGSY SIEGEL Airport sound?
It’s not the construction costs; its the corruption.
2nd that!!
LOL. Perfect!
AND, Bugsy knew how to get things done and not destroy the country.
