Yes, so true...

They are making a big deal out of the rainfall here in Los
Angeles the other day. It was close to 4.05 inches. It
beat the record for the specific day which was 2.50 inches.
(Rounded numbers, not meant to be spot on for conversations’s
sake).

While the 4.05 inches sounded pretty dire, the record
rainfall in Los Angeles for one day has stood unbeaten
for 65 years. It was around 5.70 inches in 1958, about
a third of a century before the new ice age talk turned
to global warming talk, then Climate Change once talk
of that couldn’t stand up to scrutiny.

If the adult children of today would read up on weather
stats from the past, they’d find out this ho-hum
weather is downright laughable for the most part.

Yes, some people had trees blown down, property damage,
water in their homes, but they didn’t think of these
things when buying their homes.

I won’t be buying a canyon home where water is sure to
flow if it rains hard. I won’t buy a home with a big
tree a few mere feet from it.

Weather has been happening for the life of the planet. It
has done its own thing. It will continue to do so.

News to the weak minded, not atmospheric rivers, bomb
cyclones, or any other description designed to scare
other weak people is going to make you right when you lie
your ass off on this topic.

(of course “you” does not mean RWC.)
