Hasn’t he been operating under color of authority?

I thought he had some sort of position within this
administration. He just stepped down recently.

I just checked.

“Kerry is leaving the position after three years at the helm
of US climate diplomacy under the Biden administration. The
source close to Kerry said he will still attend the World
Economic Forum in January and is expected to attend the
Munich Security Conference in February.”

So what he is doing has pretty much been sanctioned by this
administration. If he was private sector doing all this,
he would have been toast on this charge.

It does appear January and February activity might be
problematic, if he’s just a private sector citizen.

I honestly think the guy has been about as anti-US as he
could be for most of his life. That pretty much seems
the norm for Leftists in our nation though.

When Kerry was talking with Iran during Trump's Presidency I don't think he had any color of authority.
