Producing enough food for a growing world population is an urgent global challenge. And it’s complicated by the fact that climate change is warming the Earth and making farming harder in many places.

Food production is a big contributor to climate change, so it’s critically important to be able to measure greenhouse gas emissions from the food sector accurately. In a new study, we show that the food system generates about 35% of total global man-made greenhouse gas emissions

Remember during the Covid “pandemic” when people were growing gardens and the government asked they register their gardens with the AG Dept for helpful hints? Fish has never been considered meat, and in the Catholic abstinence hierarchy, the order is roughly Meat (flesh of land animals having spine); land animal by-products (eggs and dairy); sex; fish.

That said, some Catholic theologians can resemble Rabbis having a bad day—I have a moral theology textbook from England ca. 1940 that goes on for a number of pages discussing where and when beaver can be eaten.
