Former President Donald Trump has called on special counsel Jack Smith to immediately drop all charges against him in the Mar-a-Lago classified documents case after President Joe Biden was found to have wilfully retained sensitive national security materials but faces no charges.
“They should immediately drop the case against me,” President Trump told Fox News in an interview on Feb. 8, shortly after the release of special counsel Robert Hur’s 388-page report that found President Biden “wilfully retained and disclosed classified materials” when he was a private citizen after the end of his term as vice president. Unlike President Trump, who faces a bevy of charges in connection with sensitive documents he kept at his Florida home, President Biden has not been charged with any crimes.
The documents President Biden retained include classified materials related to military and foreign policy in Afghanistan and notebooks with handwritten notes about matters of national security that implicated sensitive intelligence sources and methods, per Mr. Hur’s report.

By contrast, Mr. Hur wrote that President Biden “alerted authorities, turned in classified documents to the National Archives and the Department of Justice in 2022 and 2023, consented to the search of multiple locations including his homes, permitted the seizure and review of handwritten notebooks he believed to be his personal property, and in numerous other ways cooperated with the investigation.”

Trump- President, has EVERY authorization to documents.
Biden- Senator/Vice President, does not have ANY legal authorization to documents.
Biden removed documents out of SCIF, breaking ADDITIONAL laws.
He keeps talking about these people at DOJ with “years of experience”, as if that should somehow suggest they are not corrupt and/or evil.
This guy is lying just like Joe did last night.
It will be very interesting to see whether the MSM does, in fact, drop this “case closed” scandal, or will they keep pushing on the lies and inaccuracies being presented to us.
This action only illuminates the biased and prejudiced nature of our DOJ and legal system that is currently in the US. I believe the average US citizen can see this and recognize the ridiculousness of the situation and act accordingly.

State and ABA ethics standards recognize the awesome power of the state and hold that the primary duty of a prosecutor is to do justice, not just to obtain convictions. Of course, it’s Trump, so such quaint notions don’t apply. If smith had any integrity, he’d dismiss

These two cases highlight corruption at the highest level. Are judges blind to what’s going on around them?
As I read the report on Biden it is clear that there is a big difference between the cases. Biden is a feeble old man with dementia. Trump is not.
“Biden for President. Sure he is an old man with a failing memory, but he is well meaning!” Somehow I suspect that the Biden campaign won’t adopt that as their re-election slogan.
