What should happen, but won't, is that every single public official, and all in public office, should be financially investigated and required to document how they obtained every single penny and every single possession they have obtained since starting in government.

Those for whom things don't add up should be prosecuted, stripped of everything they can't account for, and jailed if found guilty. Only then will we have our Consitutional Republic back. Only then will those who seek office or government employment be appropriately afraid to screw over the American citizenry.
