IDF is pushing hard to get above-ground control of Rafah in the South; it is the last Hamas stronghold. They should be done in less than 45 days, after which the tunnel network will be cleaned out and destroyed. That will take a lot more time. But it may mitigate the need for bombings and end the daily lies about how many women and children are killed. Early on, when Hamas was releasing crazy numbers of children and women killed, Israel released a UN demographic report on Gaza. For the numbers to be correct, 2/3 of all children were already dead from bombings. Yet the numbers kept going up and up and up to the point there must be no children left alive in Gaza at this point. The Hamas Health Ministry is releasing the numbers; math is not their strong suit.

Israel is going have to occupy Gaza after the war. Nayib Bukele’s heavy hand would work well in Gaza.
