EXCEPT, the cotton pickers get paid really well for as long as they pick cotton. Some of the pickers, that are the best in the world at picking cotton get paid more in a few years than non cotton pickers make in their entire life. Unfortunately, many of the cotton pickers have no proceeds left from their payment for picking cotton with in five years of ceasing picking.
