There's a myth that Kennedy was a conservative because he supported modest tax cuts and did not advocate the crazy sexual perversion as modern day Democrats do. You must remember that many Democrats, like Dick Gephardt, Jesse Jackson, and Ted Kennedy were anti-abortion until pressure from the feminist movement and liberal elites moved them away from their previous positions. Had John Kennedy survived the assassination attempt in 1973 and lived to, say, 1995, it is probable he would have “evolved” his position.
