Tech mogul and free speech advocate Elon Musk has labelled the mainstream media outlet Toronto Star as “Canada’s Pravda.”

Musk made the comment on February 6, after Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the outlet was preparing a “hit piece” on him and his family.

“The Toronto Star has become Canada’s Pravda,” Musk declared, referring to the term for what was the official newspaper of Communist Russia.

Elon is correct, Toronto Star is hard-core left

btw, he grew up in southern Ontario, before moving to the US and starting PayPal ... thus his interest in Canada

That is true. Teslas electric car business is dependent on CO2 emissions regulations, in the US still to a degree, and more so abroad.

Little noted but important is Teslas growing electric utility battery business, to even out intermittent generating sources like wind and solar. And then the same for personal solar, much encouraged in California among other places.
