I now know and can understand why Pilip lost and the political dynamics at work in this diverse district.
I should have also added that Suozzi held this congressional seat for 3 terms and left to run unsuccessfully for Governor. Santos won his vacated seat. Suozzi was also Nassau County Executive Supervisor for 7 years and the Mayor of Glen Cove. In other words a locally well known professional politician. Pilip was basically unknown.
