My only question about the list is the 10,000 mile tire life assertion.

That’s an 80% life reduction from the usual 40 or 50K miles.

I thought the effect was more like 25%. Got a reference?

I'm with you. When it was time to replace my wife's old ICE crossover and I replaced it with an EV crossover, I first listed a bunch of pro's and con's for expenses/savings. A "con" was that the EV weighed 10% more than the ICE and, thus, I assumed a 10% more frequent tire change. (But balanced with less frequent brake pad work because most braking in the EV is done with regen braking.) My experience seems to show I was right. I had to replace the tires at about 24K miles. I've now added another 19K miles with little tire wear (we seem to be driving 26K miles per year). Thus it seems the 2nd set is lasting a lot longer than the first set and confirming my theory that tire wear is only about 10% faster than I'm used to in the ICE. Maybe my first set didn't last long because they were factory tires? I'll have a better certainty when the time finally comes to replace the 2nd set of tires. If it's at about 60K miles then they lasted about 36K miles (10% less of 40K).

Think of the lung cancer cases and repiratory ailments that await us because of the rubber dust build-up in lungs and bloodstream. Life is good.

I’ll have to look it up. There have been quite a few articles where EV owners are saying they are getting 7,000 to 10,000 miles which (I agree) is hard to believe.

Some people are blaming it on the high-torque motors and people flogging it during their standing starts. I haven’t read much explanation.

Recently, Washington State put a bill in their hopper requiring “low rolling resistance” tires on all vehicles. That means harder rubber compounds which means harsher ride AND less road traction and more tendency to slide. It sounds like a disaster.
