Navalny's widow Yulia calls on Russians to fight Putin for freedom

Yulia Navalnaya, the widow of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, said on Monday that she would press on with her husband's fight for a free Russia and called on supporters to battle President Vladimir Putin with greater fury than ever.

Navalny's death robs Russia's disparate opposition of its most charismatic and courageous leader as Putin prepares for an election that will keep him in power until at least 2030.

In a nine-minute video message laced with rage, Navalnaya, 47, said Putin had killed her husband and in doing so had robbed her of a husband and her two children of a father.

But she said the only answer to such a crime was to continue her late husband's fight for a free and prosperous Russia. Russians, she said, wanted to live differently, even if there appeared little hope.

"I want to live in a free Russia, I want to build a free Russia," Navalnaya said in the video message entitled "I will continue the work of Alexei Navalny".

Russians do:

"A record 70 percent of Russians approve of Soviet leader Josef Stalin’s role in Russian history, according to a poll published by the independent Levada Center pollster on Tuesday."

https://www.themoscowtimes.com/2019/04/16/stalins-approval-rating-among-russians-hits-record-high-poll-a65245

My point is that we ought not misunderstand Russians' preference for strong dictators over freedom. Navalny is a martyr to a cause detested by most Russians. Until the Russian mindset changes, Russians will always put up the next anti-freedom strongman.

According to some reports…luckily Mrs N. was able to visit Navalny 2 days before he died and unobstructed by Putin, then fly to Munich in time to be there at the Security Conference to receive condolences for the death announcement and start her new campaign.

"Some reports."

What an utter lie.

If he was a nobody with no supporters, then Putin’s goons wouldn’t have needed to assassinate him.

Which it won't. It's in their religion, even of those who don't attend church.

"The Tsar knew better than the people themselves what was good for the people. The Tsar is infallible. When a leader has received power from God, he knows best what’s good for the people......This is still evident in Russia." Martti J. Kari

Russians also have a “cursed capacity for suffering”, as Yevgraf Zhivago pointed out in Dr. Zhivago.

Zaluzhnyi said he underestimated the Russian leadership’s willingness to sacrifice its soldiers, saying that “Russia has lost at least 150,000 dead. In any other country such casualties would have stopped the war.”

Elements of the story if it is disinfo can be disproven by examining Mrs N’s “ surprise appearance” conference booking and travel schedule…or that of other observers of his final day court video…

I await further developments

Meanwhile continue to ponder “ cui bono” by this death, at this time
Seems any benefit to Putin derives mainly from the Russians being reminded of who Navalny even was, and why it is the hypocritical West that is so sads at his demise

I hear you, but I believe that peoples are potentially redeemable.

For example, among “palestinians”, their primary cultural drive is to kill Jews or die trying.

Fair enough: Israel must kill each person who holds that death grudge until the rump remainder CHANGES ITS MIND.

And I’ll hold out hope for that circumstance to arrive sooner so that the total death count is limited.

Until that day, BOMBS AWAY!

Well, that’s the kind of program Putin is applying to innocent Ukrainians. “You will become Russian or we’ll kill you”.

Maybe the West should reply in kind, with a large-scale program of selective breeding to weed the love of dictators out of Russian DNA. /sarc

I read several reports several days ago saying the same thing, saving this one quote:

“... On February 14, Navalny’s wife visited him in the penal colony and gave him gifts and medicines, then urgently flew to Moscow, in the morning to Istanbul and Munich…”

And then it was widely publicized she spoke to the Security Conference and met with several world leaders, including Nancy Pelosi giving her a kiss. She and the daughters live in Munich, not Russia.

Yup.

Russian military correspondent Steshin, replying to the question how will Russians “reconcile” with Ukrainians, says they’ll do it “with side glances, knocking out teeth with the butt of a gun…Some will be cured, fed, & saved. Those who don’t want to live with us will get shot”.

I have some advice for Yulia. If you want prosperity and freedom, do not hook up your thinking to the west right now.

LOL, sure look toward Russia for prosperity. So when are you moving?

Oh, now Megan. There’s probably 10% who qualify as people. Enough to breed up a civilized population in 5 or 6 generations.

Lurking in the background is the fact that Islam is already outbreeding Slavs in Russian controlled territory by 2 to 1.

Which is worse, Russians religiously wedded to dictatorship, or a Russian caliphate?

Maybe a better solution would be to repopulate Muskovite territory with Poles. /sarc

Wasn’t it Polish Hussars who defeated the Ottomans at the Battle of Vienna in 1683?

Fight for a CIA-sponsored color revolution, one that will destroy Russia, just like it destroyed Ukraine!

Lithuanians would do well since at one time they ruled the Ruzzians and kept them on a short leash.
