Maryland tried multiple times to assassinate President-Elect Lincoln when Lincoln toured Maryland to try to keep them neutral.
No surprise they'd have no qualms against assassinating babies too.

Governor Step’n Fetchit doesn’t care. He does what his masters tell him.
I live in Maryland and honestly couldn’t pick him out of a lineup. He’s pretty invisible except for his press releases.
