Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh says the PA is still seeking unity with Hamas terror group and may hold talks with the group in Moscow on February 26.
“Russia has invited all Palestinian factions who will be meeting on the 26 of this month in Moscow. We will see if Hamas is ready to come to the ground with us,” he says at the Munich Security Conference.
“We are ready to engage. If Hamas is not then that’s a different story. We need Palestinian unity,” he says. He adds that Hamas needs to meet certain prerequisites.
Asked about making common cause with a group that carried out atrocities on October 7, Shtayyeh indicates that the world needs to forget the massacre happened.
“One should not continue focusing on October 7,” he says.
He avoids questions about the PA making reforms sought by the West and indicates PA President Mahmoud Abbas will not transfer power to a deputy.
“It’s not about reform, it’s not about anything,” he says. “It’s about Palestinians wanting an end to occupation.”

Most rational Israelis have come to realize that there can never be a true peace between Israel and Palestine. They are diametrically opposite political concepts that cannot coexist. Until one or the other ceases to be a definable entity, there will be no peace.

And the West wants a two state solution ... the “Palestinians” want a one state solution.
How many times does one “Palestinians” leader/authority have to say they will only accept a one state solution before the West catches on?
Maybe the West never will, since Europe has mandated a 75,000,000 increase in muslims - with consequences for those countries objecting.

You posted exactly what I am thinking. There is a very sizable chunk of the populace that seems to have forgotten as well. In a way, you can kind of give the young people (born after 2001) a pass as they learn what they are taught. The folks old enough to remember 911 and are attending ham-ass rallies have no excuse and get no pass.

I spoke to a buddy who lives in Southern Israel today. The general populace will NOT forget Oct 7 and they are in for the long run! So NOPE - not going to forget that day.
