In 2021, a 16-year old teenage boy wanted to be acknowledged as a transgender female by his Catholic parents, and they refused.
That presents a different picture.
There were claims of abuse, which were found to be unsubstantiated, but the state still refused to return the teenager to the parental home.
This sounds like the claims of abuse came from the teenager.
It's reasonable to assume that a transgender teenager, being raised by devout Catholic parents, would reject their religious beliefs, and seek to live elsewhere. Not a good situation, but it sounds like what happened.
So it really doesn't seem like the teen was 'torn away' from his parents.
The usurpation of parental rights is a travesty, and the transgender issue is being manipulated, generally speaking, by the powerful against the powerless.
But this isn’t one of those stories. This is a story being engineered by people who should know better.
And it is not primarily a religious issue.
There are non-Catholic, and even non-religious - parents who are not on board with the transgender movement, and wouldn’t approve of their own children claiming to be transgender.

You’re quite an optimist. I hope you’re right but IMHO the insanity is increasing exponentially.
Patriots long ago should have singled out the perps in their State and -_-_-_- them. Rinse and repeat in every state. Sorry, there needs to be a bitch hunt for child mutilators all across the US. Doctors, nurses, psychiatrists, Judges and CPS workers. “They own the courts, the Police, the government, colleges and schools. It is time to begin “the long march through our country”. These are crimes against humanity, perpetrated ON OUR CHILDREN.
