What the Russians really want is Finnish territory (and Estonia) to give free access from Petersburg to the Gulf of Finland and so to the Baltic.

That bit of Finland thats on the gulf is the most populated and developed bit of course, including Helsinki.

Russia also wants the highly educated and productive Finns under their rule.

As far as educated Finns go, Russia doesn’t need them, they have PLENTY of very well educated people, as they don’t let the Leftists run education there.
