My thought is she is hoping and helping to Make Trump Go Away. That leaves her as the only Republican on the ticket.

She should stay in the race, for the precise reason that she won’t be taking away money from president Trump, but she will drain resources from leftist RINOs and Democrats, that would only be used against president Trump.
It will also ensure that enough of the spotlight is on the anti-Trumpers that they will be identified as such and eliminated from the process and maybe elective or appointive office.
Better the dems waste money on a lost cause than on the actual democrat opponent to Trump - Moochele or Newsome.
