TV Drug Ads Are Not About Selling More Pharmaceuticals, They’re About Big Pharma Buying off the Media
Natural News (via Liberty Daily) ^ | 2/21/24 | Ethan Huff

All those obnoxious pharmaceutical commercials that get laced into just about every television and cable “news” program that airs in the United States these days might seem like they are simply about selling more drugs and getting people hooked, but Big Pharma’s true agenda is actually much more sinister than that.

Former pharmaceutical industry insider Calley Means spoke to Tucker Carlson recently about what he described as an “open secret” within the pharmaceutical industry. In essence, Means says that Big Pharma is buying the media with all those ads, which allows the drug industry to control what gets broadcasted on television and across the internet.

ABSOLUTELY believable. Have wondered why these seemingly niche drugs are getting so much airplay. A wise Maha once said, "Follow the money."

I can recall in the 90s when I still watched network news that they frequently ran infomercials for new drugs — especially on slow news days when they ran out of JFK/Marilyn/Elvis features.

I always was suspicious about advertisements for drugs to treat some disease most people never heard of.

Ads for blood pressure, diabetes, heart problems maybe.

But many are for some disease few people ever have.

I think it is half and half, both about convincing the sheep to get their poisons, and half buying off the media to keep them from reporting the truth.

"I can recall in the 90s when I still watched network news that they frequently ran infomercials for new drugs ..."

What I get a kick out of is when on late night TV on the 'oldies' channels they play an ad for some 'miracle drug'... and it is soon followed by one of the Ambulance Chasing lawyer's firms looking for people who want to sue the drug pushers for the harm that drug just advertised caused.

It’s a control issue and the 3 letter diseases they come up with are the results of taking other drugs they push.

The side effects listed are enough to make a same person say NO.

Wife and I both pushing 70 and take no prescription drugs and have refused vaccines since 2019.

I was a pin cushion for the military but never again.

This makes perfect sense. I was wondering how many toe fungus remedies it would take to pay for one commercial.

The ads are a waste of money. Everyone I know is tired of them.

“I think it is half and half, both about convincing the sheep to get their poisons, and half buying off the media to keep them from reporting the truth.”

You’re probably right. Two birds, one stone.

I have to admit that it never occurred to me that they were bribing the media with their advertisements. It makes sense though.

Why would a network risk alienating an important advertiser by properly reporting the news, making a critical docudrama, or making “the wrong comment” in a drama or comedy?

Yep. Anyone old enough remembers how the media used to DESTROY drug companies (often well-deserved, by the way)...now the media is the BIGGEST defenders of the drug companies, as shown by their non-stop defense of the ‘vaccines’.

The only thing that surprised me about this topic was that Tucker was surprised to learn this last week (although he’s classy enough to admit he was fooled by them).

That’s why they so heavily sponsor fake news who then report that everyone needs to take the fake and safe vax

I HATE drug ads, and I rarely watch TV myself - my wife watches local news, Hallmark and a few obscure cable networks that rerun older shows.

I have never been influenced in choice of medicines by a TV ad and never will - that’s my doctor’s job. The ads for Jardiance are particularly horrible, with some fat woman singing and dancing. Though, since I remember it, I guess the ad did its job.......

Make pharmaceuticals illegal like they did with alcohol and tobacco. Then tax the pharmaceutical companies what they pay for advertising. They can get the doctors to make the recommendation as to what drugs you need.
