why does it seem that those with pointy head non-STEM degrees always sticking their noses in everybody else’s business?
I bet they have striped their shorts at least once in their life. I have no love, honor, or respect for pointy headed busybodies.

Good question. I taught chemistry and then physics for decades in an urban public school district.
My STEM supervisors: “You’re doing nice work! What do you need? What can I do to help?”
My non-STEM supervisors: “I’ve observed you teaching for ten minutes. I never took a single physics class. Nevertheless, let me tell you everything that you did wrong.”

I think it’s insecurity on the part of the non-STEM folks. They’re behind the curve, and they know it. So they try arrogance and bullying to even things up.
And as a side note, near the end of my career most of my supervisors were non-STEM folks. That’s when I started thinking about an early retirement.
