No one noticed that he had a mental problem before he offed himself? (Yes I know, our new military celebrates mental illness, and acts like nothing is wrong or dangerous about mental illness-,maybe now they will perhaps, maybe start to at least wonder if celebrating mental illness is the cats meow that they thought it was?)
Having seen events like this before....there will be a ‘tribunal’ to interview virtually everyone in his unit. As a minimum....at least two will get some kind of formal papers when admitting he’d had been acting goofy for months.
Here’s the thing....for the past 20 years, they’ve been recruiting people like him, and I’d guess at least 10,000 need some type of in-depth mental help. In the 80s/90s, you would have written up papers and had them discharged within six months. Today? They are so low-manned....they have to keep them and hope they can control their issues.
