An attempt by so-called centrists to set up a "No Labels" Presidential candidate could be done with someone like Joe Manchin or Kristen Sinema, or possibly Mitt Romney or another RINO who stayed out of the primaries. However, we are near the end of February. The only two parties that have near 50 state ballot access are the Green and Libertarian Parties, and neither party would accept someone seen as a big corporation (Green) or statist (Libertarian) candidate. Therefore, a "No Labels" party would have to go through the process of getting on the ballot. As RFK, Jr., has found out, it is an arduous and expensive task, and more difficult now than it was for Ross Perot in 1992 or George Wallace in 1968. Additionally, the Democrats would engage in lawfare against a "No Labels" party. Such a party would appeal to the mushy middle of suburban women and country club Republicans that are needed by the Democrats to flip to Biden (or Michelle Obama or Gavin Newsom).
Yeah—the lawyers all disagree with each other on whether “sore loser” laws apply just to state offices or federal offices as well.
The issue has not gone to the Supreme Court so states can do as they please—and of course by the time appeals got to the Supreme Court the election would be over....
This is a dead end—and a quagmire for anyone who goes there.
Having seen all the criminal activity democrats are brazenly carrying out right in the open, would it really shock you if they tried to find a way to end run the sore looser law? ‘Cause it sure wouldn’t me.......after all, at the end of the day this is Donald Trump we’re talking about here.
Having said all that, I sure hope your right.
