Turkey and Hungary were holdouts. Sweden addressed concerns of each of these countries not necessarily connected to Sweden joining NATO. This is what democratic countries do. They work out their differences in order to act on their common interests.

All Sweden had to do was pretend it was neutral with Putin, like it did with Hitler in WWII.
