That’s correct. But, how often do the democrats find a way to circumvent the law?

Oh, too often. Way too often.

The appeals system is the firewall. If the lawfare prevails at the local level I pray the firewall holds. I could be wrong, but I believe the Georgia lawfare will fail at the local level.
