I sure hope the brain dead war cheerleaders listen to Putin. He is much like Trump, takes care of his people and does what he says.

The collective West and NATO didn’t listen last time, in fact, tricked Putin ( by Merkels own admission) into the Minsk agreement, giving time for the US to arm up Ukraine…..

Vlad won’t be deceived this time, he said NO NATO or western troops in Ukraine ….it is very simple. Go ahead, make his day….he still holds all the cards.

If there are 87,000 new IRS agents, I will bet that half of them are here, at FR. This forum is too “old-school” to produce ESG scores or automatic censorship. So, I expect it gets the lion’s share of field agents chained to their computers. The idea isn’t to “win hearts and minds”, it’s just to saturate the bandwidth and raise blood pressures.

I believe that in the TC interview with Putin, his outlandish retelling of WWII, with Poland starting it, was a less-than-thinly veiled message to the current government of Poland to stay out.

There is an irony in the American Left pretending to be anti-Russian war hawks. They will never turn on their beloved Russia. They just hate Putin as the successor to the Communism they so loved. As a villain, he can deflect from all of their unethical actions, so they don’t have a problem using him as such.

As for the comparison to Trump, I don’t really agree. Putin IS ex-KGB. He’s not above lying, and I think Trump is a better person - for a New Yorker.

I believe that there is already a deal in place, here. Putin and Biden met, before this started. Putin may be protecting Biden’s assets in Ukraine as a part of this and Biden may be forced to go through with this “election”. I suppose we’ll see.
