I do wonder, however about making it illegal to be gay. Some people just are homosexuals and some of those are Republicans, don’t try to recruit straight people, etc. One of my daughters friends just flew up to help her find a new house. He owns his own real estate company in another state. I really don’t think he belongs in jail.

Agreed on your post. The Trans-Cult should be shut down like any other cult that does harm to its members. Same for the folks that push homosexuality on people with weak minds (kids, mentally ill adults, etc.). But yeah - what goes on in people’s bedroom - I guess I would call that their right to privacy.

"Being LGBTQ+" is the constantly trotted-out code phrase that means NOTHING unless it is explained. Only BEHAVIOR can be criminalized, not who you think you are deep down inside. The bill simply criminalizes the BEHAVIOR of PROMOTION of homosexual ideology, which it should in any healthy society.
If you can't keep it to yourself, you belong in jail.

But honestly, there is another factor at play here.
Islam is creeping into Ghana, especially from the north and the border with Burkina Faso. Muslims don’t tolerate this sin either. When I say, “tolerate“ I mean they violently oppose homosexuality.
The Christian church is strong, and growing in Ghana, but there are ever increasing threats to people who are committed to the Lord.
I am happy to say I have seen many Muslims come to Christ in northern Ghana.
