Otherwise,we have to ride it out until the inevitable crash.
It’s going to get real ugly..half the nation is dependent on government.
Most have been made soft by modern “conveniences”
I doubt most could fish or hunt to save their lives. Much less forrage for food. They will be the looters and people who will kill you for a sandwich.
Some will resort to eating cats and dogs..and bugs
It’s already happened.. throughout time..in other parts of the world.

Most apt. There is a birthing of some sort of collapse, or significant restructuring. Probably what we're seeing are the contractions, followed by some "burst," followed by "delivery." Who will cut the "umbilical?"
We saw the birth pangs of a 'Mauerfall' and reunited Berlin, which was pain for some and delight for some, and the ensuing years in which restructuring was unavoidable and yet an opportunity as well as burden. Home now in the states, I can imagine something similar here.
