She was on a remote part of private property...part of a ranch I believe, and crashed into a pond. It’s been reported that she was in an area where billionaires have second homes. This article says the ranch belonged to a corporate entity connected to her husband. She and her second husband lived in Austin. Her first husband died the same year they were married. According to articles, she was driving a Tesla. The whole story has been kept pretty hush-hush. Supposedly, no one was with her, and there were no witnesses to the incident. It was first described as an “unfortunate accident,” and may well be, but there has to be an explanation for how, and why she ended up in a pond. The fact that there has been very little info about it all makes one have to wonder.
There hasn’t been much discussion about what happens and what to do if your electric car enters water.
“ Supposedly, no one was with her”
That’s the weird part given it was late Chinese New Year’s Eve.
It’s like Christmas, you spend it with your family.
Supposedly, no one was with her, and there were no witnesses to the incident.

I had not heard that before that she was there alone... where did you get that information from? Since emergency services were there within say 10 minutes of the call, that would seem to suggest that Angela Chao made the call to them herself if no one else was there. None of that has been disclosed as far as I’m aware.
Kyle Bass is the one who said on X shortly after her death that the car went violently backwards into the pond and that it was on video. What he did not say was how he was privy to that information but regardless, it doesn’t sound possible he would know anything unless there was someone on the property who witnessed it and disclosed that information.
