ADEN, Yemen, March 2 (Reuters) - The Rubymar cargo ship, attacked last month, has sunk in the southern Red Sea, Yemen's internationally recognised government said in a statement on Saturday.
If verified, it would be the first vessel lost since Houthi militants began targeting commercial shipping in November. [ed., Sinking has since been verified by multiple outlets including UK maritime shipping office.]
The government statement said the ship sunk on Friday night and warned of an "environmental catastrophe".
The ship was carrying more than 41,000 tons of fertilizer when it came under attack, the U.S. military's Central Command previously said.

It was only a matter of time, both with the Rubymar sinking and the Houthis getting lucky. The lower the stern got, the more pressure the flooding water had flooding the next hold and the next and then the ship would start to buckle making everything worse.

The Rubymar was a UK owned vessel. Seems like the Brits should do the heavy lifting to retaliate, although I doubt the Brits are capable of it anymore. Remember:
