You detail the most likely scenario, but what alternative do we have as GOP voters?

If we split the vote between Garv and Eric Early, then it’s Schiff vs. Porter in the general. Granted that Schiff is the worst of the worst, but it’s not as if Porter much better.

I’d rather have Garv in the runoff and embrace the minuscule chance of an upset, than favor a Schiff vs. Porter outcome which amounts to a total loss.

There could be many ways to split the voter pie here. Garvey leading all 3 Dems is pretty good. Ya’ kinda wonder how many Schiffters are loyal to his incumbent name recognition. Many who voted in his district for him, might not want to see him perform as a senator. Others outside his district could break for Garvey.

Porter annoys me less than Schiff, but the die is cast. Schiff will win in November by 30 over Garvey. Just gross.
