It would be a severe violation of the civilian control of the military for generals to participate in a partisan way during an election. Their sole role is to advise the president and say yes sir when he makes a decision.

It would seem that we are ‘beyond’ such a quaint notion these days... They’ve already revealed themselves, sharing openly the fact that they conspired with our chief enemy, China, to let them know if we were going to attack. My head spins. Why have there been no trials/executions for treason over that? The answer to that question is unsettling, to say the least.
