Ex-Trump CFO Allen Weisselberg to plead guilty to perjury for lying in court during fraud trial

The Trump Organization’s former Chief Financial Officer, Allen Weisselberg, is set to plead guilty to perjury on Monday for lying during the former president’s civil fraud trial.

Weisselberg, 76, has agreed to concede to Manhattan prosecutors that he lied to New York investigators probing allegations that Trump inflated his net worth to win favorable loans and benefits, the New York Times reported.

It is unclear how many charges he faces, and whether they will be misdemeanors or felonies, but sources told the Times that the plea deal could come as early as Monday. He is not expected to implicate his former boss.

Weisselberg’s plea comes after a New York judge found Trump liable for conspiring to manipulate his net worth, resulting in a $450 million fine for the former president.

The former Trump Organization CFO had previously chalked up some of his boss’ “exaggerations” regarding his wealth and real estate as just minor mistakes.

They threatened his family and he’s 76. It’s more an indictment of DNC than Weisselberg.

He perjured himself. No need for threats. That’s pretty cut and dry. Don’t lie in court.

Is this the same guy who was prosecuted for differences of opinion on benefits?

The article isn’t clear. But evidently Weisselberg lied to investigators (whoever they are). One moral of the story is do not talk to investigators. Do not talk to the police. Be polite. And keep quiet.

Hillary learned from what happened to Martha Stewart. But most people haven’t.

True. At the very least, have your lawyer right next to you. But saying I don’t recall is best.

Can anyone that rich, who owns items which fluctuates day to day really know exactly their net worth? So are they exaggerating their net worth, or are they just rounding the number? Basically a person worth billions is just guessing to their exact wealth since day to day it changes!

Since he’s so old, he can’t be convicted, just like Biden, right?

He is not expected to implicate his former boss.

The Left is disappointed, again.

It sounds like this has to do with the size of Trumps Penthouse Apartment. It was reported as over 30k feet when it is more or less 10k feet. It is all part of AG James case against Trump.

What was the lie?

There is a huge difference between agreeing to plead guilty and an admission of guilt.

Innocent people plead guilty to reduced charges all the time.

No doubt Willis, Wade, and Bradley will all be pleading guilty as charged very soon.

Right?

Hello!

Perjury rule of thumb. Better to take a cue from Democrats on the stand and “do not recall” than to lie. No one ever went to jail for not recalling. The Willis hearing broke the record for not recalling.

Unless you're Fani Willis or Nathan Wade.

Then IT'S ALL GOOD.

Eff your garbage "law", naps.

You act like Fanny and her boyfriend got away with it. Has news come out saying otherwise? You think you know more then you do.
