The defendant's attorney has to testify? What are they going to ask her? “So ... what did he say to you in your office? Did he confess? Did he say anything incriminating? Do you think he's guilty? Tell us everything.”
Ease up on them hammers. Lemmee help a tad. The questions won’t be ATTy/Client stuff. This will be asking the Merchant gal about her contact with the Fanny and how big a dipstick the Fanny might have been.Fanny should just go down to the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks and watch for the next wreck====I’m thinking she’s going to be in it?
Bradley was Wade’s attorney. There is no privilege between his communications with Merchant. It appears the Senate wants to conduct a parallel inquiry to the one the judge is holding though I am not sure if they can get more information. It may just be politics: theater, gathering fodder and pressure on the judge too. But as I said above, Bradley was either wrong or mean-spirited in communicating with Merchant about his client’s love life.
Not to say I believe any of what was said on the stand. My personal belief is Fani and Wade engaged in a kickback scheme using public funds for a lavish lifestyle with Trump as the excuse. Whether it is true or not, or when their affair started, is irrelevant to me. The fact that it appears to be true and that it appears Wade took this taxpayer money and funneled it back to Fani is reason enough to disqualify her.
Too Much WINNING !!

NEW EVIDENCE Fani Willis LIED Under Oath! Ashleigh Merchant SUBPOENAED to Testify in Investigation?
They are investigating Fani Willis, not Trump.
“This subpoena likely relates to text messages sent to Merchant by Michel Wade’s former divorce attorney and law partner, Terrence Bradley.“
Bradley, I think, spilled the entire can of beans on Big Fani and her gigolo in pre trial statements to Merchant. Unfortunately, when he got on the stand he came down with a case of the Hillary can’t remembers. Hopefully Merchant is being brought in to find out what she claims he actually said. This could be good news!
Maybe they want to ask him about this
In my opinion, the Georgia Senate committee is subpoenaing Ashleigh Merchant to allow her to get into a public record the rest of the text messages that the Georgia DA prosecutors were objecting to in the Willis hearing last week.
Those text messages will then give the Senate committee the power to subpoena Bradley himself to testify to the misconduct of the Fulton County DA's office. The question will be whether Bradley thinks that lying to the Georgia Senate is worse than lying to the Fulton County Superior Court. Just how afraid of Willis is Bradley when he becomes the target of the Georgia Senate?
The domino after that is whether Wade, and then Willis, will keep up their stonewall in the state legislature or will they retreat and step down?

Once Merchant's texts are submitted into evidence with the Senate committee, it will be impossible for Judge McAfee to ignore the entirety of it in his courtroom.
Despite the objections of Abbate, I don't see how McAfee can play dumb and not recognize the Senate's evidence along with his own. If he tries to put blinders on and hide behind the technicality that he can only consider evidence brought before him and nothing else, then I believe he will be committing political suicide if he has higher career ambitions.

She has the text messages - it’s about those, and not anything between her and her client.
