There are many reasons to oppose Nikki Haley. The fact that she uses her middle name and her husband’s surname isn’t one of them.
Making fun of someone's name is stupid and insanely immature. Not all of us were born as “Jones” or “Smith” or “White”. Some of us have ancestry that brought us names that are difficult or “sound funny” to English speakers. I dealt with more than enough teasing about my name as a kid, not because it meant anything embarrassing, but just because it had a foreign sound.
And the people that tease me were stupid, immature idiots. When they were young, it could be attributed to juvenile teasing. As adults, it is cretinous, stupid and racist behavior.
